Kmart is testing a personal shopping program dubbed Shoparazzi at five locations in the Chicago market.
A brochure promoting the program promises users that store associates will get them any desired product regardless of whether it is sold by the retailer.
The program also incorporates a "5 Faves" element promising a limited-time best price guaranteed on five items. Shoppers choose five different items every few months from hundreds of qualifying SKUs. Shelf talkers with the Shoparazzi logo prompt customers to text 5FAVES to 56278 to participate. Ceiling banners touting the “5 Faves” spotlight of some of the eligible items: Procter & Gamble’s Tide, J.M. Smucker Co.'s Folgers, Nestle’s Friskies, MacAndrews & Forbes Revlon and Kimberly Clark’s Scott.
Multiple standees positioned near checkout wall off a dedicated consultation area outfitted wth a table and chairs.
The retailer’s website currently has three job postings for Shoparazzi drivers at the participating stores. The hourly employees will locate all in-store items and procure any out-of-store items needed to fulfill a loyalty member’s order, according to the job description. The position will consist of 75% travel and requires a driver’s license.
