Natural Grocers Campaign Contrasts Conventional, Natural/Organic Farming
Incorporates video, billboard, print ads
Natural Grocers has launched a new advertising campaign that asks customers to make a conscious choice about where they purchase their food.
Featuring a series of video, billboard and print ads, Natural Grocers' new campaign showcases the “stark contrast” between conventional farming and those of organic and natural food producers. The goal of the campaign is to reach those consumers who might be on the fence about selecting higher-quality foods by allowing them to witness the differences side by side and understand what they’re choosing when grocery shopping.
Natural Grocers is known for its high quality standards as far as larger-scale grocery chains go. Its produce is 100 percent USDA Certified Organic; its meat is raised without antibiotics, growth promoters or feed containing animal byproducts; its eggs are from hens that are not only cage-free, but also provided with sufficient space to move indoors and outdoors and exhibit their natural behaviors; and its dairy products come exclusively from confinement-free dairies. Additionally, products do not contain artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or preservatives, as well as hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.
"When you buy a product, you're casting your vote for the system that created it," said Kemper Isely, Natural Grocers' co-president. "In this campaign, we are asking consumers to vote for the betterment of animal welfare, food that isn't tainted with synthetic chemicals and farmers who use sustainable farming practices that support the future of our planet."
Lakewood, Colo.-based Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage Inc. has more than 3,000 employees and operates 134 stores in 19 states.
