Dash Buttons are the epitome of shopping simplification. You push a button and you get stuff, no need to browse around or even leave the house. It would be pretty cool if you could get one of those buttons to do whatever you want. now you can, or could — Amazon briefly offered a Dash Button that is completely customizable, allowing you to connect to pretty much any connected device or service you want. It's called the AWS IoT Button (Amazon Web Services Internet of Things Button), and itsold out in less than a day.

You can code the button to work with all sorts of things
The AWS IoT Button has the ability to connect with lots of different Amazon services without requiring any coding knowledge. But if you do know some programming, you can code the button to work with all sorts of things, allowing you to start a car, make a phone call or turn on a connected coffee maker.
Amazon also said you can program the button to work with apps and programs, like Netflix, although having a single button for something like that or Twitter doesn't seem like it would be practical.
The AWS IoT Button costs $19.95, according to Venture Beat, but is no longer being sold after less than a day on the market. Amazon did not respond to request to comment about the short sale run or whether the buttons will be sold again.
Amazon putting out more products that tap into the Internet of Things is no surprise, given the company has been building up that side of its business with products like the original Dash Button and Amazon Echo with Alexa. Offering customizable IoT interaction could be a test run for seeing what people want to actually do with the technology, giving Amazon a look into where they should turn its focus for the future.
